Acupuncture

Acupuncture treatment starts with a conversation about your health history and current healthcare concerns, including traditional pulse and tongue diagnosis. Hair-thin, sterile, single-use needles are applied and you can then rest while the needles remain until the session ends. Most patients find acupuncture treatments deeply relaxing. Treatments can be focused on any general or specific medical issues, with special emphasis on musculoskeletal pain conditions, women's health issues, fertility challenges for both men and women, pregnancy symptoms, and pediatric issues. Treatments are tailored to suit each individual’s constitutional and symptomatic needs, and may also include massage, moxibustion, cupping, and prescription of herbal medicines (optional).

Pediatric Acupuncture

When working with infants, toddlers, and children, the actual time of the acupuncture is very brief.

Pediatric acupuncture is very different from the style of acupuncture typically used on adults. The needles used are sterile, single-use, and thinner than the needles used for adults, allowing the child to experience very little simulation. The needle is not retained, but is inserted in a quick in-out method. Treatments are based on the comfort level of both parent and child and may also include pediatric massage, moxibustion, and prescription of herbal medicines (optional).
